Hi there! I'm a one-of-a-kind UI designer with some serious superpowers…
Chances are that you haven't heard of me, but it could be said that I'm what is known as "nerd-famous". A whirlwind early career as an award-winning illustrator and ad creative granted me superpowers that I subsequently unleashed onto the world of UI design, where I am probably best-known for being the lead artist and creative director at trend-setting user interface design studio, The Skins Factory Inc., from 2002-2018 and contributing artist until 2025. Along with The Skins Factory, and as an independent contractor, I've been designing award-winning products, UI and branding for the world's top technology and entertainment companies for 30 years. I am known for my creation of bespoke, often futuristic styles - be they sleek and corporate or highly illustrative, even animated - my interfaces are sure to strike the viewer as something not quite like anything they've seen before. These past few years have seen my work go deeply corporate - contracting in sensitive security technologies, intellectual property management, and internal operations for institutions have dominated. While this work has been highly-rewarding, display rights to the work are rare. Not great for portfolio-building, sadly.
As I have greatly missed doing more illustrative UI work, the spotlight, and the new client exposure that comes along with it, I've decided to refocus, establish this online presence and apply my particular combination of superpowers where they might best be tested and expanded upon.

Yes! You see, I'm also an avid bedroom producer, synthesizer nut, pedal collector, talented vocalist and live performer - something I've been doing for just as long as I've been designing. In fact, my studio has always been both a design studio and a music studio. I'm about as knowledgable about compression and synthesis as I am about UI and illustration. If you develop modern music production software, chances are good that I use (or am at least familiar with) your work.
While I have developed dozens of media players, music stores and the like over the years, my involvement with music software has always been in distribution or consumption, never specifically in its creation. This year, I aim to change that - and I'm hoping that's where you come in.
It's time to combine these superpowers! Let's you and I make some cool stuff!

My primary concern will be populating my portfolio with some high-quality public-facing design this year, and I will be actively pursuing projects in the Music Production and Audio Processing space. And so, calling all developers of audio-focused technologies, DAWS, VST and AU Plug-Ins, Desktop and Mobile Apps, Soft Synths, Kontakt instruments, Expansions, AI content generators, onboard hardware synth / groovebox / pedal UI, browser-based services, pedal and gear livery, you name it - if it could benefit from my creative involvement, I want in.
You need an interface that acts like is own billboard and sells your plug-in or library? I'm your guy. My imagination and the wealth of bespoke styles and imagery I can create are near infinite, my work is top-notch and WILL get your product noticed in the marketplace. I predict great success in this development space this coming year, and I am on absolute fire these days!
Of particular note, I'm designing Plug-In UI in photorealistic graphics with resolution-independent vectors, ensuring scalability from mobile app to desktop plug in from the same well-designed interface. Check out the Solaris IV project in the Imaginary Technology section of my Works gallery. I can also produce your standard 3D model renders for marketing + pancake code-able asset package.
Again, music production may be a new space for me from a developer's perspective, but I have no doubt that with my unique combination of superpowers and extensive experience (not to mention the fact that I'm a pretty cool cat who actually uses this software) will make for a powerful combination to your project's advantage. Let's make you a VST that looks like it was stolen from R&D at the Tyrell Corporation!
